When PFM didn’t have a PFM-style performance against Kansas City, Broncos Country started asking the question: “What is wrong with Peyton?”

Nothing.

For the first time since Manning has been in Denver, the Broncos didn’t need Manning to carry the offense or the team. He didn’t have to play out of his mind.

It’s awesome to finally see this. When Denver won back-to-back Super Bowls in 1997 and ’98, John Elway didn’t have to play spectacular either. If he had an off game, Terrell Davis and the defense picked him up.

That’s what the Broncos need to win a Super Bowl. That’s how they will win a Super Bowl.

For those freaking out about Manning and how he played in Arrowhead, take a cue from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers: R-E-L-A-X.

Manning is one of the best for a reason. And as noted above, how Denver won that game in Kansas City is how they will win the Super Bowl. By dominating on both sides of the line scrimmage that makes this team almost impossible to beat.

Now opposing defenses have to play to stop the run. As Buffalo will have to do.

That opens the passing game for PFM.

Watch out.
