Miller finally broke his sack-less streak with one against the Rams.

Still, the consistent pressure the Denver defense has to get on the quarterback isn’t there. Far too often the quarterback has way too much time to find an open receiver – even if the Broncos secondary covers the receivers.

Unless Miller and that defensive line get pressure on the quarterback, Denver will continue to see what a third-string quarterback did to them.

It would help if defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio called a blitz or two. When was the last time the Broncos defense blitzed – last season? Given that fact, it makes the pressure Miller, DeMarcus Ware and the defensive gets even more crucial. A great defense starts and finishes with a consistent pass rush.

Miller has shown flashes through the first 10 games, but he needs a huge game. For the sake of the defense’s confidence and his. And nothing makes the Rocky Mountain Thunder louder at Mile High than a sack.

It’s time for Miller to bring the pain and dance his butt off.
