If the forecasts are correct (the weather can change in New England in a flash), there will be some serious wind on Sunday.

Added with the shoulder injury that has hampered Ronnie Hillman all week, don’t be surprised to a see good dose of Thompson. This is the type of game that is made for him. A big, powerful back against a defense that is terrible against the run.

If the Broncos get that run game going, it opens their offense and makes it even tougher to defend. One thing the Patriots do very well is take the ball away. As a defense, New England is a league-best +11 in turnover ratio. Add Hillman’s history of costly fumbles and his shoulder injury could spell disaster.

That sets up nicely for the undrafted rookie from Duke to have a major impact.
