3. Miller and Ware DO Make That Much Difference
I think the Broncos are going to erupt at any time in the pass rush department, and this game specifically they are key to a victory. Specifically, Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware coming off the edge have to be the duo the Broncos dreamed they could be when they put it together on paper, applying outside pressure on Russell Wilson so he has to beat them from the pocket.
Through two games, they have not consistently made opposing QBs Andrew Luck and Alex Smith win from the pocket. They’ve allowed the play to be extended way too long, and they didn’t always contain play action or screen plays. The Seahawks’ offense is not one that is going to try to spread the Broncos out and kill them with the aerial attack. The Seahawks’ offense takes what you will give them, and then they whip out an explosive big play when you least expect it.
It’s not rocket science, but the Seahawks execute their game plan better than almost any other team in the league on a consistent basis. They know who they are, and they make plays when it counts. Miller and Ware have to be able to throw that rhythm off.
