The first week of the 2014 NFL season is in the books. The Denver Broncos prevailed over the Indianapolis Colts 31-24 (hmmm, that score sounds familiar…oh yeah, that’s the score by which we won our first Lombardi Trophy…omen?). What started off as a game that looked to be a walk in the park – with Denver holding a 24-7 halftime lead – became a serious nail-biter which left many of us with an uneasy feeling with less than 5 minutes remaining. In fact, the game wasn’t salted away until Indy failed to convert on a 4th down from the Broncos 39 yard line with 1:51 left in the game. With many peaks and valleys to this game, there was much to talk about for the Broncos.
