Reshuffled Offensive Line

After the beating the offensive line took in the Super Bowl, the Broncos coaching staff knew they had to make a change.

Right tackle Orlando Franklin shifted from right tackle to left guard. Chris Clark moved over from left tackle to fill the right tackle vacancy, and Denver welcomed back All-Pro left tackle Ryan Clady, who missed almost all of last season due to injury.

The offensive line only allowed one sack of Manning but their run blocking left little to be desired.

Montee Ball averaged 2.9 yards on 23 carries with many of his chances being immediately negated by blown-up plays at the line of scrimmage. Like other areas on the Broncos, the offensive line will look to work out any kinks they have going forward.

Considering how former Bronco back Knowshon Moreno ran rampant over the New England Patriots last Sunday, let’s hope for this offenses sake that we see a different result from Ball and the offensive line next week.
