Aug 17, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; Denver Broncos long snapper Aaron Brewer (46) makes a catch in front of Denver Broncos strong safety Omar Bolden (31) in the second quarter at Levi

Cornerback:

Aqib Talib: A

Bradley Roby: B+

Omar Bolden: B+

Tony Carter: C+

Louis Young: B-

Jordan Sullen: B

Jerome Murphy: B

Overall: B+

The cornerbacks were tested and they answered the call. Talib was impressive and showed why the Broncos signed him. Bradley Roby really stepped in opposite Talib. He was targeted early and often and was successful. Bolden was the same way as Roby. They both got tested and did well. Until they started playing off-man, then they got exploited. However, when that happened they were quick to come up and make the stop. Carter had a great return on an interception, but the interception was more on the 49ers QB than it actually being a great CB play. Still, is saved his grade from being lower. A few times he lost his man and thankfully, was not targeted.

Young, Sullen and Murphy are a physical group and that shows in their play. They are not afraid to come up and hit someone. They did really well in run support. In coverage they were put in a lot of off-man or zone, but they kept the play in front of them and came up to make the stop right away.
