Players to exploit

Jadeveon Clowney

When Clowney is on the attack in either a pass rush, or run defense he is one to watch out for. But, he is asked to drop into coverage every so often. That is when he is exploitable. He doesn’t have the knowledge to be effective, nor the ability to cover well. They tend to keep his coverage close to the line of scrimmage, but even then he is exploitable by a crossing receiver.

Xavier Sua-Filo

Earlier Xavier Sua-Filo was mentioned, though not by name. He has been the starting RG, with minimal success. He looks lost in pass blocking and misses his assignments. On one play against the Cardinals, Sua-Filo was looking around for a block, when a guy ran right past him on a stunt rush. Against the Falcons he was consistently pushed backward by the stronger Falcons DL.

A.J. Bouye

When matched up against Julio Jones, Bouye struggled consistently. Jones was able to get separation easily, coming off the line. Bouye has good size and length, but just isn’t agile enough to stick with a receiver coming off a cut, or a double move.

From game to game, teams change things that they do. They are not always big, noticeable changes, but often, small, simple changes. The Broncos changed some things from their first game to the last game. The Texans did the same thing. So it should be expected that both teams will change some things from their last game to this game. But, with the teams practicing against each other during the week, they should have a good read on what the other team will do.
