WHICH RESERVE CORNERBACKS WILL SEPARATE THEMSELVES FROM THE COMPETITION?
Chris Harris, Jr will be out of Sunday’s action. Which means that the first 3 CBs on the depth chart will be Aqib Talib, Kayvon Webster and the rookie, Bradley Roby.
Beyond those 3 guys, there is an intense competition taking place. In recent weeks, guys like Jerome Murphy and Louis Young have created some buzz.
Young was held out of last week’s preseason game, but Murphy saw some action and was solid. Murphy is a former 3rd round pick of the St. Louis Rams and has seen a lot of action in the NFL.
He spent all of last season with the Washington Redskins. The Broncos picked him up this past January. He’s been battling ferociously with Tony Carter, Louis Young and Jordan Sullen.
Sullen has received some positive reviews of late too, so I suppose we shouldn’t count him out of the competition. The way I see it, the Broncos will likely roster 6 CBs.
Talib, Harris, Webster, and Roby are locks. That leaves 2 spots open for these 4 guys to duke out over.
