Cornerback. Denver Broncos. Kayvon Webster. 36. player. 45.
Height: 5-11

Weight: 198

The third round pick from 2013, Kayvon Webster was thrown to the wolves when injuries decimated the secondary early on. The loss of Champ Bailey for most of the season pushed Webster up the depth chart and into serious playing time. For being a pick no one knew about Websters trial by fire didn’t go to badly. That is up until he hurt his thumb later in the season.

Webster’s best games came against the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs (both games) and the Indianapolis Colts. In those games he was targeted 20 times allowing only 8 catches for 161 yards and one touchdown. Not too bad facing some of his tougher matchups of the season. Of course, he had some rough games as well, like Denver’s loss to San Diego when he allowed 7 catches on 8 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown.

This year in training camp he has put in the work needed for his game to elevate to the next level. With Harris recovering from an ACL injury, Webster has seen plenty of reps in practice and he has made the most of them. Webster will be around when the season comes and he is going to have an impact on the defense.
