Cornerback. Denver Broncos. Aqib Talib. 21. player. 45.
Height: 6-1

Weight: 205

Aqib Talib was one of the big three free agent signings by the Broncos during the first few days of free agency. When they signed Talib, they were committing to moving on from Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Not only were they moving on from the player, they were moving to a new direction of attitude on defense. Talib brings a new attitude and style of play, one more physical. Last year the Broncos secondary, well, to say they struggled would be putting it lightly. There were times they were walked over more than the carpet in my house.

It is hoped that the physical play that Talib adds will bring a newfound change to the defensive secondary. A change that won’t have the defense being walked on as much as last year. There is a concern with Talib playing a full 16 games, something he has never done in his career. Along with the physical play, Talib adds some takeaway potential. Something needed from the Broncos defense, a defense that managed only 17 interceptions last year. Managing 17 interceptions is not bad, it was 11th in the NFL, but when Peyton Manning is your QB, you want to give him as many chances to score as possible.

With being just signed to revamp the defensive secondary, Talib will make the 53-man roster and will be the top CB for the season. Here is to hoping he stays healthy.
