Hillman has ascended considerably at Broncos camp this year. After being handed the starting job last year, he’s worked his way into Montee Ball’s backup role, and with Ball recovering from an appendectomy, Hillman will be taking the starting snaps.

I don’t know if that will mean he won’t play with the 2nd team, but Hillman has a HUGE opportunity here. He’s been in the doghouse since last year’s fumble against the Colts. If he’s officially out of the doghouse, he needs to prove he can not only hold onto the ball, but he can be the dynamic player the Broncos drafted him to be.
