Week 6:  Denver Broncos @ New York Jets (10/12/14, 11:00 am MDT)

Geno Smith, also a rookie last season,  is expected to win the starting job over Michael Vick in New York and he represents a hopeful future for Gang Green. Smith’s rookie year was not a memorable one, and will likely be on a short leash with established commodity Vick waiting in the wings. He should still be the starter in Week 6 barring injury, but even with the addition of one of Manning’s former weapons (Eric Decker) and a featured running back (Chris Johnson), Smith is not ready to make a huge leap into the realm of the Manning’s and Brees’ of the world.

Geno Smith is arguably not even the best quarterback on his team, and with Peyton Manning suiting up against him he certainly won’t be the best quarterback on the field on this day. Smith finished 2013 as the lowest rated passer the Broncos are projected to face this season. Michael Vick will probably be in a sub-package for 5-10 plays a game for the Jets this year but we are going to omit his passing stats for the sake of this exercise.

Advantage: Manning/Broncos
