Now a year later, Robinson has bulked up to around 240 pounds, which is a good weight for a tight end. He has had off-and-on days in offseason activities so far, but has shown the potential, combined with the talent. With all that, Robinson is also young, healthy and cheap. Robinson has one year left on practice squad eligibility, but would be a risk to put him on waivers in hopes he clears to get placed on the squad.

Gerell Robinson

tight end, Denver Broncos

Just like the last two offseasons, Gerell Robinson entered this one as a long shot. As practices went on, he took steps forward in his fight to make the roster. Robinson went undrafted in the 2012 NFL draft, only to be picked up by the Broncos, who drafted the quarterback that threw to Robinson in college. He first came to the Broncos as a wide receiver, but struggled with routes and wasn’t the fastest receiver. Last year towards the end of training camp, Robinson was switched to tight end.
