45.
Like Julius Thomas, Virgil Green was drafted in the 2011 NFL draft. That is their only similarity as Green is the blocking tight end that Thomas is not. While Thomas struggled to stay healthy, Green was healthy but was limited to special teams play and blocking situations. Very rarely did he see the field in passing situations. So far in offseason activities, Green has become a reliable pass catcher for Manning, but those are in practices and not in-game situations. With his blocking prowess and emergence in practice as a pass catcher, Green will be on the roster come September. But, there is one other reason he will make the squad, he sees the field as the fullback. That versatility allows the Broncos to not carry a full-time fullback, freeing up a roster spot to be used elsewhere.
. tight end. Denver Broncos. Virgil Green. 85. player
