The heavy rumors right now have the Broncos trading up in the 2014 NFL Draft, and those rumors have been gaining steam over the last 24 hours.
It started with John Elway talking about how the team is open to all situations, including a trade up or down. That report was followed up by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport who said the Broncos were a name heating up as a trade up candidate.
Now, apparently Mike Klis and Cecil Lammey are both thinking the Broncos could trade up tonight:
Top Trade Up Targets
1. Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
This is the top CB in the draft according to some. He should be a top 15 pick so the price to get Fuller will be steep from the 31st overall pick.
2. Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State
There are some who believe Gilbert will be a top 10 pick. Some believe he could last near 20. The Broncos will still have to pay a bunch to get up to get Gilbert.
3. C.J. Mosley, LB, Alabama
Mosley is considered the top LB in the draft by some. He could drop into the 20s and the Broncos might be willing to give up some picks to get him.
4. Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio State
Speedy LB prospect who could play a versatile role for the Broncos’ defense. He might be the one on this list who lasts the longest so trading up for him might not cost as much in terms of picks.
5. Not a QB
Don’t believe those BS reports the Broncos are trading up for a QB. If the Broncos trade UP, give up picks, and take a QB, we can all throw in the towel on this draft.
6. A WR
This is an option regardless of your anti-WR opinions.
