Nearly five years removed from his head coaching gig in Denver, Mike Shanahan makes his way back to the Mile High, and the city will welcome him with a major splash of orange.

The Denver Broncos are coming off of their first lost since October of 2012. The Washington Redskins snatched their second victory of the year last week when they beat the Bears with 45 points up on the board.

In 11 regular season meetings, the Broncos have a 6-5 all-time advantage over the Redskins.

  • Peyton Manning and Jacob Tamme played with WR Pierre Garcon in Indianapolis for four seasons.
  • Wes Welker and Tony Carter played with S Brandon Meriweather in New England.
  • Redskins special teams coordinator Keith Burns was an assistant special teams coach in Denver for six years (2007-12) and also played for the team for 11 years (1994-98, 2000-03, 2005-06)
  • Linebackers coach Bob Slowik coached in Denver for four seasons.

Looks like if you’re anywhere but Arizona or parts of the south, you’ll be getting the game on FOX.
