The Denver Broncos had a short week to prepare for the Philadelphia Eagles since they played the Raiders on Monday night. Should this be a concern? From an X’s and O’s standpoint, John Fox reassured everyone that the team’s game plan is in tip top shape.

“We did a lot last week with our extra time on Philadelphia so we feel good about our plan and now it’s just about executing it,” Fox said.

The Broncos had seven full days to prepare for the Raiders after their week two Sunday game in New York, so it’s good to hear that they used the extra time to look ahead.

From a physical standpoint, the short week could be more of a concern. It was by far the shortest week the Broncos have experienced this season.

The hot topic of Friday’s practice was Champ Bailey’s status. He’s listed as “questionable” with his foot injury, which means he has a 50-50 chance of playing on Sunday. The team doesn’t have to make an official decision until 90 minutes before kickoff.

Should Bailey get on the field against the Eagles, it will be his first game of the season.

“Even though he hasn’t gotten to play on game day, he’s contributed a lot in those meeting rooms,” Fox said.
