We have all received calls that bring great news, but I am sure many of us have not experienced the type of calls the 2013 NFL draft prospects are receiving once a team has decided to draft them – especially, Denver Bronco draftees! Not only has the dream of becoming a professional football player been alive a long time for these young men, but the 2013 draft class has put in many hours to reach this level.
The waiting, the anticipation, the not knowing; no doubt it causes a wide range of emotions – with the player, his family, and even his friends. Then the phone rings! If the player has been chosen by the Denver Broncos, he will be speaking with Coach John Fox or Vice President of Football Operations, John Elway. I can’t imagine what that moment in time would be like – the true start of an NFL journey initiated by a phone call from an experienced coach or a Hall of Famer, now turned football executive. From that point in time, their lives will take a drastic turn, hopefully for the better, considering they have been presented an opportunity that will make them very rich and allow them to accomplish a dream that most of us will never know.
Below are links to www.denverbroncos.com and videos (if available) of John Fox and John Elway making “the call” to each of the players chosen by the Broncos in the 2013 draft.
