They’re on the field, but not in between the lines. They’re not the center ring performers, but they’re a mainstay in the second and third rings. The Denver Broncos’ cheerleaders have been featured on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Good Morning America,” and “Fox Files” among other nationally televised programs. They’ve also traveled to Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Cuba, Guam, the Marshall Islands, Italy and Australia on tours performing for our U.S. Troops.

Now the team is embarking on a new search for talent. The Broncos will hold auditions for the 2013 cheerleading squad beginning Sunday, April 14 at Sport Authority Field at Mile High. About 300 women are expected to partake in the preliminary round. From there, 60 individuals will be chosen to particpate in the finals on Sunday, April 21 at Colorado Heights University.

The final auditions will once again be open to the public. Tickets are available for purchase.

If you are interested in trying out, please contact Teresa Shear, Director of Cheerleaders, for an application (720-258-3176). Participants should wear athletic attire and bring a black-and-white or color photograph to the audition. The tryouts will include a dance audition with choreography taught on the spot. All participants auditioning for Denver Broncos Cheerleaders must be 21 years of age by July 15, 2013.
