Demaryius Thomas Touts Manning, Says He Wished Tebow Had Stayed In Denver

Demaryius Thomas took to the national stage on Tuesday when he went on the NFL Network’s Total Access to talk about playing with Peyton Manning and parting ways with Tim Tebow.

A couple of highlights from the clip include Thomas talking about Manning’s leadership abilities.

"“If we’re working out together as a whole team, you can hear his voice over everybody. If we’re on the field as a whole team running and conditioning, we may have six ‘gassers’ and he might want us to do more. I’m excited just to have somebody like that to push me. I feel like it’s going to make me better.”"

Thomas also discussed Tebow’s departure. As is well documented, Tebow is playing a back up role in New York as he would have with the Broncos had he stayed in town.

"“It was weird because me and Tim, if you look at our stats, we had a great year together. I wish he would have stayed around so maybe he could have learned some things from Peyton. It’s over with now and we’ve got Peyton on our side. I’m just looking forward to the season.”"

Even though Thomas says that he wishes Tebow would have stayed in town, that doesn’t mean he would have endorsed him as the starting quarterback.

You can bet that Thomas is one of the happiest wide receivers in the league right now having Manning throwing to him.
