Denver Broncos Could Open In Prime-Time

The NFL announced its 2012 regular season opener. The Dallas Cowboys will travel to New York to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Giants. The game will be on Wednesday, September 5 (It was moved from Thursday due to President Barack Obama giving a speech at the Democratic National Convention).

It appears that the Denver Broncos will get a chance to strut their stuff on national television as well during week one of the season. They will likely close out the opening week on Sunday night (NBC) with either a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers or an away game against the New England Patriots.

A full season of 2:00 pm MST Broncos games look to be a thing of the past. Expect the Broncos to be playing in primetime a lot this season considering the team has Peyton Maning under center, and they exceed everyone’s expectations last year after making it to the second round of the playoffs.

Here’s a list of the Broncos opponent for the 2012 season. They have the second most difficult schedule in the league.

Home: Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers

Away: New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers
