Falling In Love With The Broncos Again

Roses are red, violets are blue, no, no, no, no. That won’t do.

The Denver Broncos need more. Not the run of the mill bouquet of roses, box of chocolates, or cheesy love poem.

The Broncos gave me more last season.

If you ask me why I like the Broncos it’s like asking to describe why you love someone. You love someone because of all the precious moments you spend together, the way they keep you humble and make you feel great all at the same time, the way that their presence is your assurance that you will never be numb, because you are at ease in front of them and vice versa, because you can’t imagine not.

If the Broncos were a person rather than an entire team, that would be my love letter.

Not to mention, I had butterflies in my stomach before every game and my heart turned into the team’s pinata at the end.

Much like love, the Broncos are like an earthquake – a little scary and unpredictable, but when the hard part is over, you realize how lucky you really are, and believe me, we’re lucky to be Broncos fans.

Happy Valentines Day, Broncos Country!
