Tom Cable Fired

It’s official. The Cable show is over in Oakland. Tom Cable was told that he won’t be returning next year as the head coach of the Raiders. The team finished 8-8 – their best record in seven years – and went 6-0 in division play. That’s a much improved mark from their 5-11 finish last year.

"“The Raiders express gratitude to Tom Cable for his contributions in his four seasons as an assistant and as head coach of the Silver and Black,” the team said in a statement. – ESPN"

If any coach was to go in the AFC West, I assumed that it would be Norv Turner after the Chargers started the season 2-5 and didn’t really come close to passing the Chiefs for a playoff spot.

Now, the Broncos and Raiders will be battling it out in finding the right coach for their respective teams. Make sure to follow Predominantly Orange on Facebook.
