Broncos Visit Eagles

This is a one game season for the Broncos. At this point, they need to win on Sunday to even make the final regular season game against the Chiefs meaningful.

Visiting Philadelphia isn’t a walk in the park. The Broncos go into a city where even Santa gets snowballs thrown at him. Expect a loud environment, hard hits, and some after the whistle jabs in what is sure to be a fierce duel between two of this year’s NFL giants.

The Eagles are no joke this year, and with Brian Westbrook returning to the backfield, the Eagles look to be even stronger on offense. They’re currently ranked 21st in rushing and 10th in passing. Defensively, they’re 10th in rush defense and 14th in pass defense. That can spell trouble for the Broncos who have struggled on offense of late. I have confidence that our defense can contain them. This week, it’s all about getting our offense on track again.

If certain things aren’t working, adjustments need to be made. You never know when a certain player will step up unexpectedly and fill a void. Throw Peyton Hillis into the backfield mix, fake a field goal and pick up the first down, use some of that Wildcat that you were practicing during training camp. Now is the time to pull out all the stops. An entire season is riding on it.

Merry Christmas everyone! Stay tuned for a link to a piece I wrote about Brian Dawkins’ return to Philly for The Daily Philadelphian.
