Tim Tebow’s days as a New York Jet are essentially over (there are now four quarterbacks on the roster), and no one really knows where he will end up.

It turns out that the Orlando Predators of the Areana Football League would welcome him with open arms.

“Tim would certainly want to first exhaust his opportunities in the NFL, but we’d love to have him,” Predators owner Brett Bouchy told the Orlando Sentinel. ”I think he would definitely improve as a quarterback in our league. Kurt Warner told me once that when he got back to the NFL after playing in the Arena League, the NFL game was like slow motion. Everything in the Arena League is just so much faster and quicker and predicated on accuracy. Whenever Tim is willing, we have a contract waiting for him to sign.”

The question has to be asked: Can the Predators fax that contract?

The NFL is a small world. If you don’t believe me just ask wide receiver Jason Hill who signed with the Denver Broncos in February and was with the team through the end of preseason before being released.

With the season-ending foot injury to New York Jets receiver Santonio Holmes, the Jets decided to bring Hill aboard. This is the same Jason Hill that called the Jets and Darrelle Revis “overhyped” while he was with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“I think sometimes they get overhyped. I talked to Drew [Coleman], Drew played there. He says it’s just the aura of New York. They got a big media. That’s not the Jacksonville paper, that’s the big New York Times paper so they get more pub. That’s what it is. It’s a game that we all play. He been playing the game, Revis, just as long as I’ve been playing. This is a game full of good players making plays. He just made a lot more plays on TV than we’ve made being here in Jacksonville. He’s a good player. We respect him. Hopefully he respects us because we’re going to bring it just like they’re going to bring it.” – Jason Hill (Florida Union Times)

Revis’s response?

“I don’t even know who that dude is. What’s his name again? I have no clue. – Darrelle Revis (Newark Star-Ledger)

Now everyone will get to know each other very well thanks to the ‘here-today, gone-tomorrow’ NFL world.

As if more proof was needed that Tim Tebow‘s popularity is still through the roof in the Rocky Mountain region, CBS will air the Buffalo Bills versus New York Jets at 11 a.m. MT on Sunday. The only other markets to get the game? New York, New Jersey and the northern half of Pennsylvania.

Being a divisional game and a non-marquee match up on this first week of the season, this game would have usually been limited to regional interests only. In fact, it is the number four (of five) game in terms of popularity that CBS will air in the early slot this week.

On a typical Sunday prior to last season there would be absolutely no interest in this game in Colorado and the ratings victory would go straight to FOX (Atlanta Falcons at Kansas City Chiefs). But this is Tim Tebow we’re talking about. Please name another backup quarterback who has dictated the programming decisions of out of market stations. Hearing none, I declare that Tebow time is far from over in Denver Broncos Country.

It will be incredibly intriguing to see how Jets fans react when number 15 takes the field. Fans of the Broncos know full well that their enthusiasm became a mitigating factor in Tebow usurping Kyle Orton‘s spot in the huddle. If Tebow outshines Mark Sanchez in any way, expect a raucous New York crowd to turn their alliance on a dime. It’s part of the allure of Tebow. Get ready for a circus.

I for one will be watching the “early show” on CBS on Sunday. Watching and waiting for the marquee event.
