The Presidential race hits the Rocky Mountains this week as both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama prepare to campaign in Denver. The big highlight of the week happens Wednesday when the two candidates debate at the University of Denver.

John Elway is as popular as the president at least in Colorado, and now he’s announced his endorsement for Mitt Romney as reported by the Associated Press.

The campaign released a written statement Monday from the former Denver Broncos quarterback saying that in tough economic times, the country needs a president who understands how to get America working again. The statement went on to say America needs a comeback team, and Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan are that team. - AP via USA Today
