From the very first minute that I signed onto Twitter this morning, it was clear that the NFL world descended upon Jets’ OTAs.

The play-by-play news makes me wonder if the New York Jets even have a media policy in place. In Denver, we can’t give written descriptions or visual accounts of tactical information (anything involving general strategy like personnel groupings, formations, blitz schemes, tendencies, etc.)

Yet, Thursday morning we knew that Tim Tebow was lining up as a personal punt protector on special teams. We also know that he threw two interceptions in 7-on-7 drills, and Mark Sanchez had the better day.

“It’s definitely frustrating,” Tebow said of throwing two interceptions. “But it’s 7-on-7. Those plays . . . were the first time I ran them. So I’ll learn from it. Honestly, it won’t bother me again. Media crews from all over the country were out covering the New York Jets’ today.

It’s being reported that Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow can co-exist in one healthy circus world. The two quarterbacks have reportedly been getting along, even ribbing each other form time to time.

Their roles on the team are clear: Sanchez will start and Tebow will prepare like he’s the starting quarterback, but take on the backup role. Tebow will also be playing on special teams and in the wildcat formation.

“I hope every backup quarterback wants the job of a starter. That’s the way you have to prepare. I’ve been in those shoes in college, anticipating the game setting like I’m the starter, and then getting to the game and not playing. Fortunately for Tim, he has the ability to do other things and that’s why he’s on board. He’s a backup quarterback first, and then he’ll do plenty of other stuff. – Mark Sanchez via Pro Football Talk

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas opened up on 790 The Zone in Atlanta about Tim Tebow and the Broncos miraculous season. He discussed the Broncos locker room talk regarding Tebow’s play at the quarterback position, and how Tebow believes that he can take Mark Sanchez’s spot as the starting quarterback of the Jets.

Thomas also talked about whether he was sad to see Tebow go to another team.

“It’s a business decision. I ain’t going to say I was sad because the only thing they remember is that pass. You gotta go back and look at the rest of the games. I wasn’t getting no balls and you had to make some of these plays where some players were open and he is not making the throws, but I don’t want to talk bad about Tim, but hey I am happy we got Peyton.” – Demaryius Thomas via Sports Radio Interviews
