The great influence that Tim Tebow had on the Broncos and on the city of Denver is undeniable.

From the comeback wins on the field to his charitable endeavors off the field, Tebow has touched the lives of many. Now Time magazine is naming him one of the most influential people in the world. Time selects 100 of the most influential people in the world every year, and this year Tebow is mentioned along side Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Chris Christie.

Fellow New York superstar athlete, Jeremy Lin, of the New York Knicks wrote up Tebow’s paragraph for the magazine.

Watching Tim Tebow play football, you can observe many things about his character. You see his fierce competitiveness, his strong work ethic and how he is a leader that his teammates trust and respect.

But it is the qualities that Tim, 24, embodies in his life off the field that truly set him apart. He is unashamed of his convictions and faith, and he lives a life that consistently reflects his values, day in and day out. – Jeremy Lin (Time)

Jeremy Lin is hands down the biggest thing in sports right now. He took over the top spot for Tim Tebow who is now settling into his offseason routine.

While both were shades of orange and blue, Denver still thinks that Tebow will be the more successful athlete. Vic Lombardi of CBS 4, however, has this take on it. It’s worth the watch.
