Gaffney played in Denver for two seasons after a three year stint with the New England Patriots. During his time here, the ten year veteran out of Florida had 1,607 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Gaffney was traded to the Mike Shanahan’s Washington Redskins for defensive end Jeremy Jarmon. The 6’3”, 286 lb. end is entering his third season, but has played in just 15 games. He has 11 career tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 1 pass deflection. It’s expected that Jarmon will fit into the 4-3 better than Shanahan’s 3-4.
