(Ed Mulholland-US PRESSWIRE)

There’s no doubt that the New York Jets will have the biggest spotlight on them this season. With an outspoken coach in Rex Ryan, a tumultuous locker room, and Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow in the same jersey color, there’s no doubt that this team is made for television both on game days and throughout the work week.

The Jets know their star power and it’s been reported that the team will consider another appearance on HBO’s ”Hard Knocks.” They were featured on the show in 2010. HBO has not sent out a formal request yet, but according to the Gary Myers of the New York Daily News, Jets’ owner Woody Johnson is not ruling it out should the invitation be extended.

While this is not big Broncos news, I know a lot of Broncos fans will still follow the Tim Tebow story, and what is a better way to do it than to go behind the scenes and see what happens in training camp?

The Jets declined the invitation from HBO last season, but with cameras already surrounding them, what’s one more?

I’m all for the Jets being featured again. It will make the NFL summer that much more interesting.

Last week, it was the Tampa Bay Bucs that passed on HBO’s popular and in-depth reality show, Hard Knocks, and this week, it was the Denver Broncos.

It appears that the only reason the network considered the Broncos as the team to shadow was because of the nationwide interest in Tim Tebow.

“We appreciate the value of the show, but, at this time, we are going to pass.” -Broncos PR Director Patrick Smyth

While it would have been highly entertaining, I’m glad HBO’s focus isn’t on the Broncos this year. There are enough distractions during training camp and the regular season that make it difficult for players to focus. The new coaching staff doesn’t need the additional pressure either.

My top three teams that I would like Hard Knocks to feature this year are the Oakland Raiders, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Washington Redskins. How about you?
