The results are in and it’s time to hand out the seventh Predominantly Orange “Golden Bucky” award, and the winner of the Denver Broncos Game of the Year award for the 2011-12 season is the Broncos 29-23 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL Wildcard Playoff Round.

The Broncos/Steelers game was the landslide winner, receiving 77% of the fan vote, with the Broncos/New York Jets game receiving 9% of the vote.
After two early field goals by the Steelers in the first quarter, the Broncos racked up 20 unanswered points in the second quarter thanks in part to an Eddie Royal touchdown reception and a Tim Tebow touchdown run. However, Pittsburgh was able to make a comeback which led to a 23-23 tie at the end of regulation. After the Broncos won the coin toss and received the ball in overtime, Tebow threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas on the first play to send the Mile High city a mile high with a dramatic 29-23 playoff victory.
Now, it’s time to vote on the first of the final two major categories, which is Most Valuable Player. Voting ends on Sunday, Mar. 18 at midnight, so get those votes in and tune in next week to see who gets the eighth “Golden Bucky” award and to vote on the last category!

The results are in and it’s time to hand out the sixth Predominantly Orange “Golden Bucky” award, and the winner of the Denver Broncos New Addition of the Year award for the 2011-12 season is linebacker Von Miller.

Miller received 29% of the fan vote, with running back Willis McGahee finishing just one vote behind in second with 28% of the votes. Head coach John Fox finished third with 19% of the votes. All other nominees received at least one vote.

After being taken second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Broncos, Miller had a stellar rookie season. He started in 15 of 16 games in 2011, earning 51 tackles and recording 11.5 sacks. He also forced three fumbles. For his efforts, Miller was named to the 2011 Pro Bowl and was the 2011 NFL AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Congratulations to Von Miller on this fan decided honor. Now, it’s time to vote on the next category, which is Game of the Year. Voting ends on Sunday, Mar. 11 at midnight, so get those votes in and tune in next week to see who gets the seventh “Golden Bucky” award and to vote on the first of the final two major categories!

The results are in and it’s time to hand out the fourth Predominantly Orange “Golden Bucky” award, and the winner of the Denver Broncos Underrated Player of the Year award for the 2011-12 season is cornerback Chris Harris.

In the closest voting results yet, Harris received 28% of the fan vote, with punter Britton Colquitt receiving only one vote fewer than Harris to finish second.  Colquitt earned 27% of the votes, and kicker Matt Prater finished a close third, receiving 22% of the votes. All other nominees received at least a couple of votes.

Chris Harris was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2011.  He played in all 16 regular season games and started in four games his rookie season, recording 69 tackles and a fumble recovery.  He also earned his first career interception when he picked off Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer  in the Broncos’ 38-24 win in Week 9.

Congratulations to Chris Harris on this fan decided honor.  Now, it’s time to vote on the next category, which is Breakout Player of the Year. Voting ends on Sunday, Feb. 26th at midnight, so get those votes in and tune in next week to see who gets the fifth “Golden Bucky” award and to vote on the next category!
