In breaking news, Tony Scheffler (and the Broncos 7th round pick) was just traded to the Detroit Lions in a 3 team trade with the Eagles. The trade gives Denver a 5th round pick in this year’s draft, and the Eagles pick up linebacker, Ernie Sims.

This is the least surprising trade of the off season. We all knew that Scheffler wanted out of Denver. He couldn’t co-exist with Josh McDaniels. With that trade, our 3 main offensive weapons (Culter, Marshall, Scheffler) are now playing in different states. Just a couple of years ago, I would’ve told you that those guys were the future of the franchise. My how things can change quickly.

Pat Bowlen got his wish for change when he hired Josh McDaniels. The franchise has been flipped entirely. Now I’m ready to see the payoff.

Here is P.O.’s attempt to convince Wilson to stay in Denver:

1. Detroit v. Denver – the pictures do all of the talking

2. Talk to Tatum Bell…he’ll tell you Broncos country is where you should stay.

3. Who would you rather play alongside? John Lynch (possibly), Champ Bailey, and Dre Bly OR Ernie Sims and Kenoy Kennedy?

4. While Jon Kitna is getting ready for Halloween, Jay Cutler will be making a run at this year’s playoffs.

5. Mike Shanahan or Rod Marinelli. Again, take your pick.
