To help get Bronco Country through the TRUE offseason, I will be reviewing some past games against the teams the Broncos will face during the 2012 regular season.

After opening the season with two games in prime time, the Broncos will play their first afternoon game of the 2012 season when the Houston Texans visit Denver for only the third time.  Continue reading for a brief look at the first two games between the Texans and the Broncos in Denver.

The Broncos have been inundated with coaching candidates over the past week. In case you’re a little out of the loop regarding the search, here’s a quick breakdown of who interviewed and who did not.

1. Eric Studesville – The Broncos interim head coach went 1-3 during his tenure as top dog. Many don’t expect him to return as head coach because of his lack of experience in the area. He interviewed with the team on Sunday. “Preparing for this moment is something that’s been ongoing for a period of time – years,” Studesville said of being given the opportunity to interview. ”I’ve been gathering things and keeping things for years in hopes that this possibility would come up at some point in time.”

Studesville is interviewing for the head coaching position today. He brings a wealth of enthusiasm and knowledge to the potential job, but the 1-3 showing during his tenure as head coach doesn’t sit well. Neither does his lack of experience at the position.

Based on John Elway’s remarks during his press conference, it appears that the Broncos are looking for someone more qualified who can win immediately.

While this looks to be the end of Studesville in the King’s chair in Denver, we here at PO want to thank him for the effort that he put forward. Whatever happens in the future, we wish him the best of luck!
