Twas the Night Before Game Day, when all through the land

Not a seat was filled, on standby for fans.

The jerseys were hung by lockers with care,

In hopes that a win would soon be there.

The Broncos were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of touchdowns danced in their heads.

And Fox in his night cap, and Elway in his orange cap,

Had jest settled their brains for a short Buffalo nap.

When out in the snow there arose such a clatter.

Two Johns sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.

Away to the window they flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters making them smash.

The moon on the hump of new-fallen snow

Gave the sighting of mid-day to football below.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a large bus completely full of football gear.

With a big buff driver, so lively and strong,

The Johns knew it must be the one with the arm.

More encouraging than most, his followers heard “Let’s go,”

And whistling and cheering, it without a doubt had to be Tebow.

“Now Decker! now, Thomas! now, Willis and Ball!

To the top of the West! to the top of the wall!

Now dash away! Dash away! Run over them all!”

As fall leaves give way to snowflakes that fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, they force the tie.

So up to Buffalo they flew,

With the bus full of spirit, and Tebow too.
