]]> This weekend, golf fans will have the opportunity to watch some of the world’s best golfers compete for the U.S.  Open Championship.  In about a month, NFL football fans can watch many NFL players, professional athletes, and celebrities compete in The American Century Celebrity Golf Championship.  The competitive rounds of the tournament, which are held in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, will be held Friday, July 20 through Sunday, July 22.

As of today, John Elway is scheduled to participate in the tournament for the twenty-third straight year.  Elway is one of five individuals who have appeared each year in the tournament’s twenty-two years of existence.  During that time, Elway has been in the top ten a total of ten times and tied for 2nd two of those years; the most recent runner-up finish occurring in the 2010 tournament.
