I absolutely think I’m ready and I’m not nervous about calling plays. You have one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time as your quarterback—I’m excited.
I’m very excited. When he was at North Carolina State I was at Carolina. We went up there and worked him out. We saw all of his games on TV being there. It is a great opportunity. He is a fierce competitor. He is a great guy to have as the face of your franchise the way he plays, game in and ga…read more
You make your legacy during the postseason. In the postseason, it is another level.
You have to be. I have been down this road before; it’s not the end of the world. We just have to look at our mistakes, look at ourselves in the mirror and keep grinding. That’s the only thing you can do. You can’t keep crying all day about it.
I can’t predict tomorrow. I’m just disappointed tonight but everybody will keep their heads held high. It stings – it’s supposed to sting, but we’ll learn from it and move on from it.
You have nerves before every game. I think that’s just how it is. As far as being scared or timid, not really. I kind of like these situations.
I think it’s all words and at the end of the day. It’s going to be settled between those lines. That’s no different whether it’s Week 1 or Week 21. That’s the nature of the game. They’re a very, very good football team. They play well in all three phases.
Butterflies, no. I’m more excited. I can’t wait for the opportunity. It’s another game, but it’s a big game. It’s the next game, that’s the most important thing.
I don’t know. If you look back, at least in recent history, sometimes it can be an advantage, in particular this week on a short week. But like I said, it comes down to, forget about rest, forget about seeds, forget about who you played, when, where. It’s going to be who plays the best this S…read more
It just depends. I might go over to [DE] Elvis’ [Dumervil] house and watch the game, or watch it at my house with some of the family. It just depends. I’m just looking forward to sitting down, relaxing, and not really having that fast-paced, bullets flying mentality that you would being in a …read more
Lance has been a really productive guy in his role in both seasons I’ve been there. Everybody has a role, and you need guys in every single role. Lance was a four-phase starter in the kicking game and has been there when we needed him. We called his number yesterday and he has come through.
It feels a lot different. We have a lot of different guys on this team. The atmosphere around here is different. There's a sense of urgency here. We are just going to keep it one play at a time and see how far we get.
I think any time you can reach any kind of pinnacle in anything...Out owner thought I was a hundred years old, and I said no just a hundred wins. It's an accomplishment, but it's something of a lot of people's work. It wasn't one guy. I have a great staff. I have been with great players and it's …read more
It’s a blessing. It wasn’t all pretty all year but I give thanks to the coaching staff, the fans and the guys I play with—my teammates. I‘m not just representing myself but I’m representing guys that have been a part of it, from everybody in the building—the turf guys to equipment—e…read more
I enjoy it for about four hours and then onto the next one.
If there's anyone that deserves it, it's him. He has been working hard since he came in the league and makes my job easier.
I don't expect to do it. You don't really want to do that too much. I guess it's just instincts taking over. It just happens.
Physical, tough. He’s actually like a running back out there, but with receiver skills. It’s crazy, because he creates some matchup problems. He’ll do everything to get open.
