This guest post was made by the SeatCrunch team.

With OTA’s starting up last week, Peyton Manning has been getting a feel for Denver Broncos receivers Eric Decker and Damarius Thomas. “I’ve always believed that you develop your timing for the passing game in the offseason,” Manning said. “I don’t think you can just show up in September and expect to be on the same page.”

While Decker and Thomas are new targets for Manning, he’ll also be throwing to some familiar faces this year. Jacob Tamme spent his fair share of time catching passes from Manning in Indy, and Brandon Stokley was actually one of his favorite targets while he played for the Colts.

Champ Bailey chimed on the effect Manning’s presence has had on the play of the Denver receivers.

“I think they’re on their way. Obviously I want to help them as much as possible, try to sharpen their routes, things like that, but one thing about them is that if they get open a little bit, they’re open a lot to him.”

A quote like that coming from a player the caliber of Champ Bailey is an excellent sign for the future of the Broncos passing game.
