Training Camp standout Isaiah McKenzie is impressing Denver Broncos coaches, but early this morning he changed numbers to a famous player in team history.

There have been plenty of Denver Broncos players to wear no. 84. Isaiah McKenzie is the next Broncos player to wear it with pride.

He chose the number wisely.

The number 84 is in fact ex-Bronco tight end great Shannon Sharpe’s old number. With great numbers come great responsibility. McKenzie is shining bright early with the number 84.

Due to Henry Krieger-Coble’s recent release, there became a vacancy with the number, and McKenzie took it. Sharpe is the best player in Broncos history to wear it, but it looks refreshing to see McKenzie wear a new number and look great wearing it.

McKenzie is a gifted runner and proving to be a fan favorite at Training Camp. He may be small in stature, but he looks to be making the 84 number proud early.

McKenzie appears to be on track to be the “Tyreek Hill” gadget player the team is looking for. Hill torched the Denver Broncos in both games as a rookie. He is making his presence felt on special teams like Hill.

It is the quickness and special team awareness that had many people buzzing these first four days into camp. On Saturday, McKenzie took a punt return to the house bringing every fan to their feet.
