Denver Broncos training camp preview 2017: Taking a look at the quarterback position, featuring Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Chad Kelly, and Kyle Sloter…

Denver Broncos training camp 2017 is rapidly approaching, and it’s time to take one last close look at the position battles before the competition for roster spots and starting spots begins.

The Broncos don’t have a quarterback controversy at the moment, which is a good thing, but they do have a bona fide quarterback competition. Will it be Trevor Siemian, last year’s primary starter? Or will it be Paxton Lynch, last year’s first round pick?

That’s the major question facing new head coach Vance Joseph and his staff on offense. It’s a question that could mean the difference between the Broncos actually contending in the AFC West and being a potential top 15 team in next year’s NFL Draft.

It’s a slippery slope, to be certain, but the new staff in Denver seems to have a good grasp already on where this competition stands and what each guy needs to do to prove himself worthy of the starting gig.

One way or another, the Broncos will have a starter that has to prove himself and grow quickly on the job, and a capable backup who has at least a little starting experience.

Let’s dive in and take a closer look at the quarterback position.
