When it comes to defending the long passes, Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was one of the best in that department. Rarely do you see a long pass get by him.

The “No Fly Zone” of the Denver Broncos is the best secondary in the league. And with Aqib Talib leading the charge, look for this unit to remain strong for a long period of time. The unit of cornerbacks and safeties that John Elway has put together is quite phenomenal.

Only one quarterback last season was able to record 300 yards passing against the Denver Broncos secondary. That quarterback was Drew Brees. When it comes to the long pass, Aqib Talib makes certain that a big play is not made on him.

How impressive is Aqib Talib on the long pass? Pro Football Focus gives us a bit of an idea of how strong he is when it comes to the long ball.

Pro Football Focus says that Aqib Talib is in the Top Five on passes allowed that are 20 yards or longer. It is at an amazing ten percent. Nine of ten passes that are 20 yards or more are not allowed by Talib.

That is quite an amazing feat for a season, but it comes as no surprise. The No Fly Zone excels on their pass coverage. And with the team returning all of the starters this season, look for Aqib Talib and the rest of the No Fly Zone to continue their path as the best secondary.

With Joe Woods leading the defense this season, look for the secondary to have a solid season. And I firmly believe that Aqib Talib will lead the charge and continue with his dominance on the field. The chain snatching cornerback is looking to add another Super Bowl title to his resume.
