With Mike McCoy leading the Denver Broncos offense, what will the role be for second year fullback Andy Janovich if there is one?

The Denver Broncos will be implying a new offense during the 2017 season. Mike McCoy is back for the team and will look to fix an offense that seemed to struggle a lot last season.

McCoy is looking to use a power blocking scheme and to have a flexible offense that will adjust according to the opponent. This could really help the offense. But it all starts with the offensive line and how they can adjust.

Mike McCoy’s offenses normally operate under a single back set. That could mean that second year fullback Andy Janovich could find some tough sledding in the offense. How will Mike McCoy use him in the offense?

It is tough to say, but it was brought up that McCoy will also implement some of the zone blocking schemes that Gary Kubiak had during his time with the team.

I would honestly say that having a fullback in the offense is going to be very helpful. Andy Janovich showed during his time last season that he can be a game changer once given the chance. His ankle injury that sidelined him the rest of the season was a tough blow.

When Andy Janovich was on the field, I saw how great the offense could be, especially in the running game. Having that extra blocker to pave the way for the running back is beneficial. With how much the running game struggled after his injury, I believe that Janovich will be a solid playmaker for the Broncos.

He also can make plays in the passing game too. Having an extra weapon to check down on in case the receivers are covered can spread the offense around.

I believe Andy Janovich can still find somewhere to benefit the Broncos offense. It all comes down to how Mike McCoy wants to use him. I am certain he will be utilized in the same way that Gary Kubiak did.
