Denver Broncos new special teams coordinator Brock Olivo may be the most fascinating member of the organization. He absolutely loves his job…

It was impossible not to love Brock Olivo after his initial press conference with the Denver Broncos, where he instituted the “K.I.L.L. it” method of special teams coaching.

“Keep It Likeable and Learnable.”

Olivo has certainly held up his end of the bargain when it comes to keeping things likeable, at least as far as he is concerned. He’s simply a phenomenal personality and every minute he spends in front of a camera is a minute worth your time. Here he is after day two of the Broncos’ OTAs:

Some highlights from Olivo’s presser include quotes about two of the Broncos’ newest playmakers, starting with punt returner/wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie, a fifth round pick out of Georgia:

"“Isaiah so far is as advertised. He’s had an auspicious start. He’s quick, he’s fast, he’s got great hands. He seems to be smart, has a good football acumen. So we’re fired up about him so far.”(quotes obtained via Broncos PR)"

McKenzie is going to be an exciting player, to be certain, but the Broncos also really love the potential they have in slot receiver/kick returner Carlos Henderson. Here’s what Olivo had to say about the third round pick out of Louisiana Tech:

"“Love that guy. He’s got juice and he’s a linear speed guy, whereas [WR] Isaiah [McKenzie] is sort of a shifty guy, a C.O.D. (change of direction) guy. Carlos is your downhill, run behind your pads, run through smoke—as we say for kickoff returners. He’s got courage. That’s the type of kid we like as a kick returner. So, very, very excited about Carlos, as well. He runs angry with the ball in his hands, and we love that.”"

Olivo also alluded to a points competition the Broncos are having among their players, a grading system that will be updated weekly. The winner will be celebrated at the end of the year.
