The Denver Broncos have their first draft pick under contract as Isaiah McKenzie has agreed to a rookie deal with the Broncos.

As the Denver Broncos get prepared for Rookie Mini Camp on Friday, the team has their first draft selection under contract.

Isaiah McKenzie and the Broncos have agreed on a four year deal, the team announced on Monday. He becomes the first player from the draft signed by Denver this offseason.

There is no doubt that McKenzie is going to be a solid addition to the Denver Broncos. He will be able to contribute on offense, but the goal is to have him at special teams.

His electrifying return game is something that the Broncos hope he can bring to the table. The team has not seen a punt or kickoff return for a touchdown since the Trindon Holliday years back in 2012-13.

Known as “The Human Joystick,” Isaiah McKenzie was quite the highlight reel in Georgia. His returning skills and his ability to make moves in the open field were something to watch.

The hope that John Elway has is that he can help spark the special teams. That unit has had ups and downs the past few years.

In fact, since Trindon Holliday was let go by the Denver Broncos, the only time I was excited for a return was when Jordan Norwood had the Super Bowl punt return.

Just looking at his highlight reel has me very excited for him to take the field.

He could be able to contribute on offense too. Whether it be the slot or in the backfield, you better watch out for him.
