When the NFL Draft ends, the Denver Broncos will have an important decision to make in regards to Bradley Roby’s fifth year option for the season.

For NFL teams that draft a player in the first round, a fifth year option is added on to their contract. If they perform well in their first three years, they can exercise that option.

The Denver Broncos will have to make that decision on their first round pick from 2014 soon.

Bradley Roby is entering his fourth year in the NFL. It is mind boggling how fast time moves in this league. John Elway will have to make a decision on whether or not to give Roby that option.

May 3rd is when Elway needs to decide.

I believe that Bradley Roby has earned that option for the Denver Broncos. Since he started his NFL career, he has been quite phenomenal. And put into consideration that he has shared most of his time with Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr.

Not exercising Bradley Roby’s fifth year could be a tough blow to John Elway’s decisions.

During the 2018 offseason, the biggest player to hit the free agency market is T.J. Ward. And you do not want to break up the “No Fly Zone!”

And some of the restricted free agents could be valuable to the future of the Broncos.

Being able to exercise the fifth year option gives the Broncos one extra year to make a decision. And when Roby would hit the market would be ideal as far as players set to hit the market.

So, to make it a lot easier for the Denver Broncos in the long run, Elway should exercise the fifth year option of Bradley Roby.

It will ensure that the No Fly Zone continues to shut down the flights of opposing quarterback’s passes for the foreseeable future.
