Denver Broncos Linebacker Von Miller scares Broncos Country on April Fools Day with Instagram post claiming he’s been traded.
April 1st is the day of lies. Yesterday, Von Miller took the cake. On a day featuring fake news all over the social media scene, Von Miller’s Instagram post was the winner of them all. Von Miller: TRADED.
Undoubtedly, this post sent waves of fear throughout Broncos Country. The thought of the former Super Bowl MVP traded to another team is worst thought of them all. Thankfully, it was April 1st, and therefore, just a fantastic April Fools Day prank.
Miller is known for his playful humor in the locker room. It should come as no surprise that he is the one to pull off this prank. He wasn’t fooling everyone however:

The Broncos caught on, and were quick to shed light on what was really going on. Von Miller will once again lead the NFL’s top defense in 2017 in a quest to return the Broncos to the Super Bowl conversation. April Fools Day brings out the best in playful pranks, and good old fashioned humor. Here’s a few others from around the league:

The folks over at NFLMocks.com played a prank on the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots fan bases, reporting a fake trade that went down for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and the number one overall pick.
One Browns fan’s comment was priceless:
"I started screaming “No! No!” And I banged on my table a little and scared my 14 month to tears because of the noise LOL!! I was upset, started scouring ESPN for supporting articles, wondering how FanSided/DPD could have possibly gotten the story first, cursing the patriots and their dynasty under my breath while rocking my poor son to sleep…I was officially duped."
Hopefully everyone had a good April Fools Day. Thank goodness it’s now April 2nd.
