The Denver Broncos are expected to host Old Dominion defensive lineman and draft sleeper Rashaad Coward for a pre-draft visit…

The Denver Broncos are leaving no stone unturned leading up to the 2017 NFL Draft, and we’re  told that they will be hosting Old Dominion defensive lineman Rashaad Coward for a visit…

The Broncos were in attendance at the Old Dominion pro day, presumably to take a look at another sleeper prospect in wide receiver Zach Pascal. According to the linked report, the Broncos were among the teams that met with Pascal after the pro day, but they also took a liking (or already liked) the 6-6, 325 pound defensive line prospect also in attendance.

Coward is drawing attention around the league, setting up visits also with the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions, among others.

Physically, this is an impressive young man. Coward combines great overall size with excellent strength and quickness, and he has the college production, to boot. At his size, it’s common for offensive lines to double team, but Coward made 50 tackles this past season, 7.5 of which came for a loss.

Coward was a team captain for Old Dominion this past year, and started off his college playing days playing both offensive and defensive line. The Old Dominion football program was moving up to the FBS, and they had a recruiting class of 38 players coming in when Coward joined in 2013.

He spent his four years working his way up the depth chart, and impressed NFL scouts with his playmaking ability as a big man.

It looks like this young man is destined to make an impact at the next level. Hopefully, the Broncos are able to get their hands on him at some point in this year’s draft, and get him into the rotation.
