Excitement is in the air as we are a week from NFL Free Agency and little over a month till official clarity to whom the Denver Broncos draft at 20.

There are already a plethora of needs the Denver Broncos must address heading into the 2017 NFL Draft. During the 2016 season, the offense stagnated multiple times in games. It is likely the Broncos address plenty of their needs in Free Agency leading to the best player available at pick number 20.

Offensive line is the non-sexy pick and the popular pick at 20 in many mock drafts from the experts. Since Free Agency is right around the corner, the expectation is Broncos will address offensive line at both tackle spots and guard. Andrew Whitworth, Ricky Wagner and Ronald Leary fill holes at all three spots. TJ Lang is also a priority at guard. The Broncos can address the offensive line in the NFL Draft; however, the talent at the position is not two to three deep.

Another area of need should be the defensive line in this year’s draft. Disappointment from that unit proves the urgency to resign Vance Walker. Much like the offensive line, the defensive line is another priority Broncos can focus on in Free Agency. Calais Campbell, Jared Odrick and maybe Chris Long could all be fits with the Broncos at least in my opinion.

In an offense that struggled to find any continuity and the lack of a third weapon, the team will find multiple ways to address this need in the draft. Tight end and wide receiver saw a staggering drop in production. Running back is not a necessary need on the current roster. However, there are numerous players at the position to fill the need as a receiver, returner and potential slot target.

We outlined at least the biggest musts to have on the Broncos in the upcoming draft. The Broncos now have 10 picks in the draft. Four of those picks are compensatory. Now let’s get to the choices.
