In the next installment of the keep or let walk series, I take a look at Denver Broncos defensive end Billy Winn and decide his future with the team.

For the Denver Broncos defense, it had an off year from the front seven mindset.

The most notable focus of the defense was the defensive line, which had a tough time stopping the run.

However, there is faith that the team will get better in the offseason. With free agency beginning in about two weeks, it will be interesting to see where Vance Josesph and John Elway will go.

One intriguing in-house option is defensive end Billy Winn.

Winn was brought to the Denver Broncos in training camp last offseason. He took the roster spot of Phil Taylor, who was placed on injured reserve.

The defensive tackle who last played for the Indianapolis Colts was set to compete for a spot on the roster.

However, his role had the potential to increase after Vance Walker suffered a season ending ACL injury later on in camp.

Winn would only record 19 tackles, eight of them solo.

So, where does he come in for the Denver Broncos in 2017, if at all?

I honestly believe he can be a solid backup for the team in 2017.

This is what Roto World said about Billy Winn when the Browns traded him to the Colts back in 2015.

"“When healthy, he has been an effective rotational run stopper also capable of sporadically pushing the pocket.”"

The Denver Broncos defense struggled against the run. If Billy Winn can be healthy in 2017, he would be a great player to sub in for Derek Wolfe or whomever is on his opposite side.

Next: Should the Denver Broncos Keep or Let Thomas Gafford Walk?

He had a strong career with the Cleveland Browns. I would be okay with having him stay on the team. Especially if he can be a key piece to the defensive line.

I say give him at least another one year deal.
