After what seems like a long time coming, former Broncos running back Terrell Davis has been named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017.

It has finally happened Broncos Country, Terrell Davis is finally in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

After what seems to be a long time to come, the former Denver Broncos running back has been selected to the Hall of Fame.

Davis will be enshrined in Canton, Ohio on August 5th.

He joins John Elway, Gary Zimmerman, Shannon Sharpe, and Floyd Little as the only Denver Broncos players to make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

This is such a great accomplishment for a man who had his career cut short due to injury.

In his short time in the NFL, he managed to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season (1998 season), won the NFL MVP Award and the Super Bowl MVP for Super Bowl 32.

Perhaps his biggest accomplishment that earned him his Hall of Fame recognition is his postseason success.

He recorded over 1,000 yards during his seven postseason games and averaged over five yards per carry.

That in itself is quite the accomplishment.

For years, Terrell Davis has had to wait and wait until he got into the Hall of Fame.

Perhaps his biggest knock that prevented him from getting in for so long is his short career. After a successful first few seasons that saw him win two Super Bowls was when it went down.

In the 1999 season, he suffered a season ending injury and just never seemed to recover from it.
